Signature Associates’ Steve Gordon and Dave Miller are proud to have been a part of this deal.

Kaiser Enterprise, a $1.5 billion business with nine different companies in the automotive, energy, and data center sectors, has established its new corporate headquarters at 5555 New King Drive in Troy (near the northwest intersection of Crooks and Square Lake roads).

The four-story building, which sits on an 11-acre parcel, offers 114,000 square feet of usable space. Built in 1985 with large windows on every side (including views of the Detroit skyline), the building was renovated in 2016, and again prior to Kaiser Enterprise’s relocation.

The move brings together multiple companies within the enterprise, including Gallagher-Kaiser (GK), Universal Piping Industries (UPI), Ventcon, and Rival Insulation, along with dedicated spaces for Commerce Controls Incorporated (CCI), Kais-AIR, and multiple international divisions.

“For the last decade, GK and UPI have shared a three-building campus (in Troy),” says Tracy Roberts, president and COO of Kaiser Enterprise. “And for many years that served us well, but as our workforce grew and our enterprise formed, we needed a new home to support our operations.”

Kaiser, founded in 1952, purchased the building in early 2023 and spent the last 18 months extensively renovating the entire structure.

The modern office environment offers private offices, open work areas, conference rooms, an advanced AV equipment and IT infrastructure, collaboration spaces, sound deadening phone rooms for private conversations, and dedicated mothers’ rooms.

“I wanted to provide a functional, yet beautiful, state-of-the-art workplace for our team,” says Bob Kaiser, owner and CEO of Kaiser Enterprise.

“My goal was to cultivate an enjoyable work atmosphere with top-notch amenities, ensuring that our employees genuinely look forward to coming to work every day. It truly is our home away from home, and I think this is a space we can all be proud of.”

The enterprise companies serve multiple markets from data centers to automotive paint shops to battery manufacturing facilities. There is space to support “future growth for additional business units that will be added to the Kaiser Enterprise in the near future.”

“There was a lot of thought and care put into the layout and design of the headquarters,” says Robert Kaiser II, vice president of Kaiser Enterprise. “Beyond aesthetics or amenities, there was significant consideration for how the space would be utilized both for today’s team and the future of our workforce.

“I wanted to make sure we were creating a space that would attract the very best talent. I see this building as a symbol of our commitment to growth both internationally, and at home in Michigan.”
