From Scholarship Recipient to Deal-Making Mentor—This is Why the SIOR Foundation Matters.
24 years ago, Robert Keleghan, SIOR was just starting out.
Fresh out of the University of Illinois, he landed an SIOR Foundation scholarship that helped kick-start his career in commercial real estate.
Fast forward to today:
Rob is now an SIOR designee, serves on the Ohio Chapter board, chairs the scholarship committee, and leads a team of young brokers—including one who also received an SIOR Foundation scholarship and just closed a $3.9 million deal.
Talk about full circle.
SIOR Foundation scholarships aren’t just about helping students pay for school:
They are career accelerators.
They create a pipeline of talent.
They build lasting mentorships.
They create future leaders who give back.
This isn’t theory. It’s real.
Rob’s career was shaped by SIOR.
Now, he’s shaping others’.
And it’s not just him.
The Foundation helps countless students who go on to drive deals, impact communities, and grow our industry.
So the next time you wonder if writing that check, volunteering on that committee, or mentoring that intern really makes a difference…
Just ask Rob.
Because today’s scholarship winner?
Might just be your future colleague.
Or better yet… your top performer.
